DOUG CABRAL
REALTOR®

It’s a really good life, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to help guide others in their journey to theirs. In my opinion, a good life means great friends, healthy relationships, a cold beer and a beautiful home to call our own. I have often been referred to as a gatherer of people and I am incredibly fortunate to ‘have gathered’ so many great friends, family, colleagues, and clients (who eventually become friends.) Combine that with my amazing connections with my love for the city and I’m pretty sure I have the best job on earth!

My twenty entrepreneurial years in Calgary helped me establish amazing business relationships with like-minded people, and have allowed me to gain incredible first-hand knowledge when it comes to sales and marketing. It is easy to sell something you believe in, and I love my beautiful and resilient City of Calgary.

Serving my community is a large part of who I am. Some causes close to my heart are the Sarah Faith Hogan Memorial Foundation, which provides assistance to families in financial need, that have infants born with health deficiencies. The Children’s Cottage Society, which is dedicated to preventing harm and neglect to children and building strong families through support services, respite programs and crisis nurseries and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation which is dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs within our local communities. You can find out more about these programs below.

I’m here to serve and help you live your best life. How can I help?

ROYAL LEPAGE SHELTER FOUNDATION

Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised more than $27 million and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners. Our agents donate a portion of their commissions and Royal LePage offices across Canada hold local fundraising events. Our brokers, agents and staff also volunteer and provide in-kind goods to benefit the women and children residing in their local shelters.

CHILDREN'S COTTAGE SOCIETY

Since 1986 The Children’s Cottage Society has been dedicated to preventing harm and neglect to children and building strong families through support services, respite programs and crisis nurseries. We are a recognized leader in providing effective programs and services to help ensure Safe Children in Healthy Families.

At the Children’s Cottage Society we have long understood the detrimental effects of prolonged exposure to negative experiences in a child’s early development. We recognize that the solution is prevention and we aim to ensure that children in our community have strong foundations for healthy physical and emotional development. We offer non-judgemental programs and services aimed at helping parents through a crisis regardless of what their circumstances may be. We believe that asking for help is a sign of strength and we aim to work collaboratively with local agencies to ensure families are provided with the best services and resources to meet their needs.

Sarah Faith Hogan Memorial Foundation

The Sarah Faith Hogan Memorial Foundation (SFHMF) provides assistance to families in financial need, that have infants born with health deficiencies. The Foundation raises funds through personal and corporate donations, fundraisers and special events. We disburse raised funds to nominated and vetted families that qualify for financial support. Health deficiencies eligible for funding are broadly defined as being structural defects, functional/ developmental, sensory problems, metabolic disorders and degenerative disorders. Families with infants who are born with a health deficiency, up to the age of 24 months are eligible for financial assistance. Assistance for up to $5,000 per family can be provided for basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter), specialized child care, prescription drugs, additional housing costs (rents/renovations), assistance in acquiring specialized equipment not covered by insurance (standing frames, bathing equipment, specialized chairs, walkers, seating systems, etc.); transportation, bridge funding for therapy and more.
